Our products are made in India, where 80% of the world’s organic cotton is grown.

Yes. GOTS certification requires inspections to be sure the farmers and factory workers receive fair wages and have healthy, safe working conditions.

Our products do not have the traces of pesticides and other harmful chemicals which may cause a reaction in some babies. Please note “hypoallergenic” is technically not a determined standard when it comes to textiles.

Five of the top nine pesticides used on cotton are potentially cancer-causing chemicals (cyanazine, dicofol, naled, propargite and trifluralin). Also detectable are traces of parathion and endosulfan , as well as numerous persistent organic pollutants such as aldrin, endrin and DDT.

Organic cotton is up to 5 times more durable than commercially grown cotton! This is because organic cotton is not processed with harsh chemicals which weaken the cotton fibers.

Our organic cotton fabric is preshrunk before sewing. This arrests 95% of the shrinkage. There may still be a slight ( 5%) shrinkage during the first wash.

Farming cotton organically is actually LESS expensive than growing it commercially. However at this time it is a matter of supply and demand. When larger size crops are grown, processing is more efficient. Prices of organic cotton products are becoming much more affordable as demand grows.
